Once again, UPM is not enough for Finland

The strike of workers in UPM’s Finnish factory, which began on January 1 this year, will be extended for another two weeks because an agreement has not been reached between UPM and the Finnish paper workers’ Union paperiliitto. Paperiliitto announced that the strike action at the factory will continue until April 30, 2022.

UPM commented on the announcement that the renewed extension of the strike coincided with the deepening of negotiations between the trade union and UPM companies, and the mediator has proposed a solution to the negotiations between UPM pulp and the trade union. The parties should comment on the mediator’s proposal before April 14.

UPM also issued an update on the strike to its customers.
