Nine Dragons North America Rumford Paper Mill won a special fund of 1 million US dollars from Maine

Janet Mills, governor of Maine, announced on December 9 that he would allocate US $1 million to ND Paper from the last round of forest restoration project of Maine Jobs&Recovery Plan to improve the efficiency of R15 wrapping paper machine to be launched by Rumford Paper Factory.

The forest restoration project is managed by Maine Technical Institute (MTI). The last round of the plan provides 19 organizations including Rumford with a total of 14 million dollars of funding to improve the competitiveness of enterprises and support the wage growth of Maine workers.

As early as November 2020, ND Paper announced that it would implement a series of transformations for the Rumford plant, further expanding to the packaging level, in which it would convert its R15 paper machine from printing and writing (P&W) paper to lightweight, high-strength kraft linerboard.
