Month end inventory of pulp at European ports increased month on month in April

According to Europulp data, the end of month inventory of pulp at European ports increased by 5.0% month on month and 78.4% year on year in April 2023. The total inventory increased from 1.7224 million tons at the end of February to 1.8086 million tons.

According to PPPC, the inventory of 20 commodity pulp suppliers in the world was 57 days at the end of April (standard calculation method), with bleached softwood pulp inventory days increasing by 6 days to 54 days compared to the previous period, and bleached hardwood pulp inventory days increasing by 2 days to 61 days. The total shipment volume of 20 commodity pulp suppliers in the world decreased by 13.6% in April compared to March. Among them, the shipment volume of bleached cork pulp decreased by 15.2% month on month, and the shipment volume of bleached hardwood pulp decreased by 12.4% month on month.
