Many European countries upgrade recycled paper and paperboard to “raw materials”

Many European countries are making efforts to “turn waste into treasure”, upgrading recycled paper and paperboard into “raw materials”. After Italy and Spain, France also promulgated new regulations at the end of last year to join the environmental protection campaign of using recycled materials.

According to the French Radio International on the 14th, in addition to recycling waste paper for upgrading, France implemented another new regulation at the beginning of January this year, which prohibits the use of plastic packaging for vegetables and fruits weighing less than 1.5 kg.

The transformation of waste paper into raw materials has brought many beneficial effects to France and other European countries. First, it is easy to export. Recycled paper and paperboard made in France far exceed the consumption, and so does the UK. The upgraded waste paper is not only sent to all parts of Europe, but also exported to India or Indonesia. Second, it is conducive to environmental protection. The energy consumption of using recycled paper and paperboard will be lower. Third, the use of recycled materials is increasing and the price is more competitive.
