Recently, Japan Paper said in a statement that Japan Paper, Sumitomo Business and Green Earth Research Institute agreed to jointly study the production of bioethanol from wood-based biomass on January 27, 2023. If the project is successful, the project will produce bioethanol from the plant of Japan Paper Industry in the 2027 fiscal year as the raw material of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) of Japan Aviation Industry.
