Italian paper maker Fedrigoni acquires Türkiye unifol

Italian paper manufacturer Fedrigoni announced the acquisition of unifol, the only PVC self-adhesive manufacturer in Türkiye, which develops innovative, durable and durable PVC films for 3D applications on large surfaces.

The acquisition of unifol is an integral part of Fedrigoni’s strategy, which aims to continuously diversify its product range, enter the adjacent fields, expand its global influence, and strengthen its position as a new player in the automotive PVC coating film market. Based on its recent acquisition, the company is currently a major global player in the production of high value-added specialty paper for luxury packaging and other creative applications, and a leader in the advanced label and adhesive materials market.

Commenting on the transaction, Marco nespolo, chief executive officer of Fedrigoni group, said: “this acquisition will make our offer more attractive and continue our strategy of expanding promising market segments near the fields we have entered, just as we entered the smart tag field through the acquisition of tageos in France.”

Meanwhile, Fulvio capussotti, executive vice president of Fedrigoni’s adhesive business department, added: “combining unifol’s technology with Fedrigoni’s global geographical distribution will make us more competitive in the rapidly growing niche markets in Europe and the world.”

Fedrigoni has more than 4500 employees in 27 countries and regions and 48 facilities, including production plants, cutting centers and distribution centers. The group sells and distributes 25000 products in 132 countries.
