In The First 11 Months Of This Year, Vietnam’s Timber And Wood Products Exports Reached US $13.2 Billion

In the first 11 months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of wood and wood products reached US $13.2 billion. Vietnam’s industrial and Commercial Daily reported on December 5 that in the first 11 months of this year, Vietnam’s exports of wood and wood products reached US $13.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20%.

The import and Export Bureau of Vietnam’s Ministry of industry and trade estimated that Vietnam’s timber and wood products exports reached US $1.15 billion in November, an increase of 20.9% month on month, but a year-on-year decrease of 7.4%. Among them, the export of wood products reached US $840 million, an increase of 35.4% month on month, but a year-on-year decrease of 17.3%. In the first 11 months of this year, the export volume of wood and wood products reached US $13.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 20%. Among them, the export of wood products reached US $9.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 16.6%.

At present, production has returned to normal, and timber enterprises are accelerating production to catch up with the export orders signed in the last month of this year and the first half of 2022. Therefore, the export of the wood industry continues to increase. In October and November, although the export volume was still lower than that in the same period last year. However, in general, the timber industry maintained good growth in the first 11 months of this year, thanks to the rapid resumption of production after the relaxation of social isolation measures. According to the current growth rate, the export volume of wood and wood products is expected to reach US $14.3 billion this year, a year-on-year increase of 14.3%, and 98.7% of the set target in 2021.

The export growth power of the wood industry is concentrated in indoor wood products. In the first 11 months of this year, the export volume of indoor wood products accounted for 67.6% of the total export volume of wood and wood products, reaching US $8.2 billion, a year-on-year increase of 21.7%.
